Professor Moshe Sluhovsky, of the Department of History at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, will launch the series with his lecture entitled Jews, Modernity, and Homosexuality in Germany, 1890-1933.

Professor Sluhovsky is presently leading an Israeli-German research group that is studying the migration of Jewish homosexuals and lesbians from Germany to Palestine during the 1930s and 1940s.
